ELLEN GROLMAN is Professor Emerita at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland, where she taught for 30 years in the Department of Music. She is the author of EMMA LOU DIEMER: a Bio-Bibliography (Greenwood Press, 2001) , JOAN TOWER: The Complete Bio-Bibliography (Scarecrow Press, 2007) and the editor of a two-volume set of MADDALENA LOMBARDINI SIRMEN string trios (Hildegard Press 1996,1997).
Upon retirement in 2013, she relocated to St. Augustine, FL, producing and hosting Music of our Mothers for WFCF, 88.5 FM, Flagler College Radio, which airs the show live on Wednesdays from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Music of our Mothers is also heard on NPR-affiliate WFWM, 91.9 FM in Maryland, Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
